The Olds & District Chamber of Commerce is proud to be a member of the Prairies to Peaks Tourism Association. Originally suggested by the Olds & District Chamber of Commerce, a committee was formed consisting of interested individuals and tourism operators from various districts in our area. That committee soon became a Society in its own right and has worked diligently to promote the area as a viable tourism destination. In November of 2006, P2P hired its first Tourism Coordinator/Office Manager, and moved into its new office at 2037 - 19 Ave, Didsbury. The Committee has met regularly since November 2002 with support from Travel Alberta In-Province, and have identified the P2P area as going north to Bowden, east to Torrington, south to Cremona/Water Valley, and west to the Park boundaries. Its mandate is to promote tourism in this area, with plans to target the urban active outdoor market. P2P is a registered society in Alberta, and operates with a Policy Manual and Bylaws. Each year the committee prepares Goals, Objectives and Strategies, and marketing projects complete with timelines. P2P accepts memberships year-round in the Association, as follows:
